Attorney Sheila Goss Duerr

Flink Maswick Law PLLC is pleased to announce that Sheila Goss Duerr has joined our team as a senior counsel. Sheila brings over 30 years of private practice experience with her, having started her career in Connecticut working for a private litigation firm and as an assistant clerk for the Superior Court of the State of Connecticut. After returning to her home state of New York, Sheila worked as a litigation associate for several years, eventually developing a specialty in employment discrimination, including sexual harassment claims, which she litigated on both the state and federal levels.

Her litigation work led her to act as corporate counsel for various corporations, where Sheila provided representation in court involving civil and employment matters, real estate, contract claims, landlord tenant matter as well as general counsel and advice regarding a myriad of issues confronting small and medium sized businesses.

Sheila continues to represent corporate clients in matters of zoning, real estate, landlord tenant matters and general litigation. Her areas of practice also include general estate and probate matters as well as guardianship proceedings. She is the founder of Adirondack Mediation, which provides divorce mediation for couples seeking divorce.

Sheila and her family reside between Glens Falls and Keene Valley.

Sheila can be reached at sgossduerr@flinkmaswicklaw.com .

Note from James L. Maswick – I asked our Law Clerk, Madison J. Marshall, to write a brief series on statutes of limitation in actions which involve personal injury. Madison’s series will explore how they can differ by cause of action, by defendant, and by the tort that is alleged. This is part 1 – we hope you enjoy reading! As always, for your specific situation, consult an attorney as soon as possible, as this series is for general information only.
